Please pray for little Ashley Kroeker!

Last Sunday, July 23, 2006, Ashley was playing and fell on her tummy. She started vomiting every two hours and complained that her tummy hurt. Monday morning, Jenny took her to the doctor and they discovered a mass on her kidney. She was then sent to Valley Children's Hospital for a CAT scan and ultra sound. That afternoon, Ashley was diagnosed with cancer, specifically with a Wilm's tumor on her right kidney. Ashley was hospitalized and scheduled for her surgery at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 25, 2006 by Dr. Hodge. Her surgery was over at 4:00 pm. They removed her right kidney and the Wilm's tumor. Samples were sent to the Pathology Lab for a Histology report to determine the grade and whether or not it was favorable or unfavorable. The surgery went very well with no complications...praise God! Ashley spent the next 7 days in Valley Children's Hospital recovering. While Ashley was in the hospital, she loved her bed. She called it her princess bed because of the sparkles above it and the way it moved up and down. So that is how she got the name, Princess Ashley Kroeker.
The final reports from her surgery came back on Thursday, July 27, 2006. She was graded as a stage 3 out of 5 with a favorable diagnosis. Ashley was discharged home on Monday, August 1, 2006. Yeah!!!! Ashley received her first Chemotherapy on Sunday, July 31, 2006 and it went very well with no side affects!

I hope and pray for you to have a painless treatment and a speedy recoverey Princess!!
Let your Mommy and Daddy know that I know a little-boy who had the same illness as you. His name is Tony and he was diagnosed with Wilm's Tumour when he was just 2 and 1/2 year's old.
Tony's mommy and daddy said if you ever need to talk to someone they would be thrilled to talk to you Ashley, and your mommy and daddy.
Tony is now 16 year's old and full of himself and life!!!

I wish you rainbow's, sunshine, and much laughter in the coming future Princess Ashley, and I look forward to meeting you someday.
