Very Good Counts Today
Hello everyone!
Ashley had her monthly appointment today, and her counts looked great! Her ANC (infection fighters) were 2052, and her RBC and hemoglobin are fantastic. She is feeling great, and even has rosy cheeks again. PRAISE GOD!
Don't you love those piggy tails?
Ashley still loves school. We have been working with her this week on staying focused and finishing work on time, and she is doing great. Ashley enjoys going to the library, playing at recess, and coloring. She comes home each day telling me about all of her new best friends (I think she has 5 now). Mrs. Koop, her teacher, has been so supportive through all of this. We are so thankful for her.
During Ashley's first week of school, she came down with her first cold. She handled it very well, and didn't ever get a fever or a cough. We were so glad. We know that God is continuing to protect her from illness and infection. Thank you for remembering Ashley in your prayers.
We are really enjoying the freedom that we have now. Ashley is going to the park tomorrow for the first time since summer and she cannot wait!!!
Please continue to pray for Ashley. She has another ultrasound on May 30 (Wednesday). After this appointment, the doctor will schedule a surgery date for the removal of her metaport. Ashley can't wait for this. We pray that she will have good results from her ultrasound. We thank God for being her healer.
I will keep you updated on anything new. Otherwise, I will write again when we get the results from the May 30th ultrasound and x-ray. We love you all and appreciate your concern for Ashley and all of your prayers.
