MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Merry CHRISTMAS! We hope you are all enjoying this Christmas season.
This last year sure had some ups and downs for our family. It is amazing how you can go through something you never dreamed of having to go through and how God can truly give you contentment through a crisis. He never leaves us.
We got the results back from Ashley's CT and everything looks great! PRAISE GOD! Thanks for praying for her. She is so full of energy, too. NOW we just have to keep her drinking! That is our day to day struggle- getting her to drink her 1 1/2 liters of water a day. I guess that doesn't sound like a big deal, compared to what she had to go through early this year, but she has got a will of her own!
We will go back to the hospital in March for her next ultrasound and x-ray. (We go 4 times a year for ultrasound/xray or CT for the next 4 years!) We will continue to keep you updated with our appointment times and prayer requests, so keep checking.
This last year has been such a blessing for us. When Ashley finished her chemo in February we were rejoicing! We had a NO MORE CHEMO PARTY in March and she started Kindergarten in April. She graduated in June and we left for a MAKE A WISH TRIP in June. We went to DISNEYWORLD for a week and had the time of our lives! Ashley got her metaport out right after that trip. We went camping over the summer a few times, went to the coast, mountains, and San Jose. Ashley started 1st grade in August and loves it. We have visited friends who live far away and have enjoyed being around so many people! (compared to last year when we couldn't leave our house) We are so thankful for life! For family! For friends! For our church! For our neighbors! For you! And, most of all, for a God who cares! We hope you can enjoy the precious moments in life this next year!
We love you!
